EMERGENCY PLANS
We are doing everything we can to make sure emergencies don’t happen. But if they do, we want you to be safe and prepared.
Medical Emergency
In case of medical emergency, find a volunteer in a gray festival t-shirt or a security guard. There is a first aid kit at the info booth. There is an AED located at the Elkhorn Valley Public Health Department booth.
Severe Weather
Seek shelter inside, get inside as quickly as possible and gather in the hallway outside of the bathrooms. Leave all belongings behind. Stay away from windows.
Fire
If there is a fire in the building, get outside as quickly as possible using a window or door. Pull the fire alarm on your way out. Leave all belongings behind. Go to a parking lot on the east side of Queen City Blvd.

Active Shooter
Run.
Hide.
Fight.
You have three options in an active shooter situation: run, hide, or fight.
RUN: Quickly and cautiously evacuate in a direction away from the attacker. Leave belongings behind. Keep your empty hands raised and clearly visible when exiting a building. Follow all instructions from the police. Don't stop until you're sure you've reached a safe location.
HIDE: If there is no safe escape route, find a good hiding place. Lock and barricade the door. Silence cell phones. Prepare a defense plan.
FIGHT: Fight only as a last resort. Use available objects as improvised weapons. Use teamwork and surprise. You're fighting for your life. Don't fight fair!
